Due to its density and stability, Cocobolo works very well. It can be thickness planed to very tight tolerances. It can be drilled and counterbored without chipping the circumference of the holes. It can even be single point threaded. It can be milled precisely. 

 

We have supplied Cocobolo to customers who have turned and parted posts on Swiss CNC screw machines indicating its good working characteristics.

 

We have also had quite a great deal of experience in checkering Cocobolo for handgun grip applications and also laser engraving it. For existing customers we are happy to furnish information on checkering and laser engraving equipment suppliers and/or outside job shops who perform these services.
